Hi, I’m Desiree — the artist and founder behind Haus Western.

I create colorful, spirit-filled western art for those who love their walls as wild and free as the open range.

About The Artist

I’ve always been creative, though my path to becoming a full-time artist wasn’t exactly linear. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, my mom and I opened a medical spa, which we ran together for 16 years. While I loved shaping the brand’s visual direction and designing our marketing, I always felt a deeper creative pull.

After selling the business in 2023, I set out to figure out what I really wanted to do. I launched a bath, body, and home fragrance brand, but quickly realized I was far more drawn to photographing, editing, and designing than anything else. That curiosity led me to Photoshop, digital art, and eventually digital painting.

What began as product photography and post-production work evolved into fine art created for brands and clients. Still, I carried a quiet dream of opening my own art store — I just didn’t know what to paint.

That clarity came while working on a creative project for a western apparel brand. Cowgirl and western-inspired art immediately clicked (and tugged at my soul), and Haus Western was born: bold, colorful work rooted in western aesthetics but reimagined through my own kaleidoscopic lens.

I was born and raised in Texas and now live with my husband, our autistic son, and our crew of fur babies on a ranch in the Texas Hill Country — the perfect setting for a life full of color, creativity, and cowgirls.
